I just love how sweet Mahlon and Sara Beth are to each other. They love to know that the other one is right there. Gran took this cute picture while she was visiting this week.
The weather has been so great this week so it has been easy to get out and exercise. Yesterday afternoon we went for a long walk with the jog stroller. The babies are still a little small for it but we made it work.
Last night I went in the nursery to put Mahlon to bed and a double surprise was in his crib. These cats think everything baby belongs to them!! Talk about double trouble!
Since I have been spending more of my days alone with the babies I have had to get creative with when and how I will to get a nap. This is one way...both babies are in the bed with me on incline positioners. As you can see one is wide awake and the other is half asleep. My other trick is putting them in their car seats on the bed! You gotta do what works!!
I can't believe the babies are 2 months old!!They are growing and changing so fast! How sad...I want them to stay this size (if they would only sleep through the night!)
We have had a busy week this week without Cheri, but I have had some wonderul help. Thanks so much Nancy, Diane, Jennifer, Suzy, June and Kim...I wouldn't have made it without your help and yummy food! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and Mahlon and Sara Beth have been extra spoiled with tons of hugs and kisses...I am not sure if they will be able to fall asleep without someone holding them!! This means I need a 3 am crew to show up and rock babies back to sleep!! HA!
Gran is here for a few days too so she'll have her share of late night feedings and rocking!
Doc came to visit today too...he brought us magical diaper rash ointment for little Mahlon's booty. My mom swears by it. It worked on me and I turned out Ok... right?!
I had a lot of fun visiting with everyone and having grown up time!
Aunt Lani came to visit this week while working in Jackson. We put her to work with the babies. She fed, burped and bathed Mahlon...she had a big time!(I think!!) Mahlon just loves his aunt Lani...he just watched her and talked to her. If we only knew what grunts meant in baby language??! I bet he was saying I love you Aunt Lani, come back soon and bring Uncle Brian!
Mahlon was still a little hungry after his lunch so he thought he would try to nurse his daddy's hand instead of burping!! He is such a mess!
Wesley has been working so hard and on the weekends he has baby duty so it is hard for him to stay awake. He and Mahlon were watching football in bed...apparently Mahlon's team was winning and daddy's team was losing.
