Christmas in Memphis

After a busy morning at our house and church and lunch we headed to Memphis to enjoy the rest of Christmas with Gran, Daddy Day and Aunt Maggie!
More gifts, more food and time with family!
and fun toys!!

In our Christmas pj's Christmas night!

I think this Christmas was by far the busiest one we've had since the twins were born, but it was so much fun too! Seeing the joy and excitement through their eyes is something I'll never forget!

Christmas Morning!

Merry Christmas! This Christmas was so much fun! The twins were so excited about every aspect of Christmas. We really focused on the meaning of Christmas this year and my favorite thing about Christmas day was when they asked if Jesus was coming to his birthday party!

This year Santa suggested that each child got 3 gifts ...why?...because the wisemen brought Jesus 3 gifts.

Of course the 3 gifts didn't include all of the fun things he left in our stockings.

Love this face though it is a little scary...this is her "cheese" face showing off her baby doll car seat!

Sara Beth got a new baby for her car seat...Mahlon picked it out just for her!

We took each child shopping for the other! Something so fun that I look forward to every year!
Sara Beth gave Mahlon a Finn McMissile that does all kinds of things!

Something fun for outside ...a soccer goal and a blue and pink soccer balls!

And this is what is left from the tornado that blew through on Christmas morning!!!

love s.b. in her daddy's rain gear!!
We woke up to lots of rain on Christmas morning and Santa left note that 2 gifts were outside...so we all bundled up in rain gear and headed out to see yet another surprise...
a real pirate ship's wheel (like captain Hook)and a telescope for "whale watching"(like Dora)

We talked a lot about Christmas day being Jesus' birthday and the babies wanted to know if Jesus was going to have a cake...so we got a cake to celebrate Jesus' birthday. Then that morning they asked if Jesus was coming to his party! We sang happy birthday to Jesus and Mahlon and Sara Beth blew out his candles! Precious moment and something I will look forward to every year! Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Getting ready for Santa!

I had some great little helpers on Christmas Eve getting ready for Santa! We made peanut butter cookies rolled in sprinkles with Hersey kisses on top! They had so much fun...aprons and all!

Concentration!

CHEESE!!!!!

The finished product...cookies and milk for Santa, celery and carrots for Rudolph and marshmallows for his sweet tooth!

Christmas Eve Morning

Chip made his final appearance Christmas eve morning in Soso. He made a mess with our candy canes!

I love this picture of Sara Beth with her hop hop...they are getting into the broken candy canes Chip left!

Chip brought everyone a goodie bag on Christmas eve morning. What a fun surprise! I think he must of been a little jealous that Santa got to have all of the fun filling stockings!

While we were all getting ready for a yummy brunch Mahlon and Sara Beth decorated a gingerbread house and had lots of icing and candy as an appetizer!

I love this picture! They are so ready for presents!

Aunt Lani and Uncle Brian gave them the cutest luggage with matching backpacks!

They helped open some of baby Braden's presents...he had a Merry Christmas too!

Wesley got several new cookbooks...his new favorite chef, John Besh.

Sara Beth a.k.a Barbie, loves all of her new baby doll clothes!

Christmas in Soso

We had a short 2 days in Soso before Christmas. But we managed to squeeze in a lot! This year instead of Christmas cookies we made rice krispy pops. Sara Beth LOVED dipping the pops in icing and then rolling them in lots of sprinkles!

And Mahlon loved to eat them...he had 2!!

They learned how to crack pecans with an antique nut cracker.

And daddy and uncle Brian put on a mini firework show!

Madison Heights First Christmas Program

This year was the first ever Madison Heights Christmas program..."For the Glory of the King" I helped direct 40 kids singing and we even did a few hand motions! Mahlon and Sara Beth loved singing their songs and did an awesome job! We are so proud of them...they don't have the best history when it comes to performing on stage!
Wesley snapped a few pics of them in their shepherd costumes singing "Away in a Manger", "Go Tell it on the Mountain" , and "For the Glory of the King". So sweet!

Jefcoat Family Christmas

Every year the Jefcoat family has a Christmas party...or really a reunion. Though it is only "close family" we still only see some of them once a year. I think if everyone made it we would have around 40 Jefcoats/ spouses in one place! And next year I am really going to try to get a group picture of everyone, but for now here are a few pics of Mahlon and Sara Beth opening their gifts...they got spoiled and had so much fun with their cousins!

pump it up

We love our sweet neighbor Kaden. He is more like their little brother...I took the three of them to pump it up the other day and got this pic...just had to share it. Such sweet friends!

Happy Birthday

I had a fun birthday this year! Wesley Mahlon and Sara Beth bought me roses and cake and Aunt Maggie came into town to keep the twins so Wesley and I could celebrate and go to two different Christmas parties! Busy night but lots of fun!
singing and blowing out my candles!

All dressed up and ready to go!
A few cute smiles with aunt Maggie
Waiting for the stockings to be full of something!

Oh Christmas tree!

We had so much fun this year decorating the tree...thankfully I bought a huge container of shatterproof ornaments at the end of the season last year! I had such good helpers!

my favorite part was when I looked and Mahlon had put all of his ornaments on 2 branches. He was so proud!

Cookie Swap

The first Saturday in December was a busy one for us! We went to the Madison Christmas parade that morning...

got to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus...though they weren't so sure about it!
Then we were off to the church for a cookie swap!
lots of sprinkles
and even more icing!
and lots of smiles with Mrs. Sherlie!
