Madison Heights Easter Egg Hunt

I was in charge of the Church Easter Egg Hunt this year and had some great volunteers to help me! It turned out so cute and was so much fun! This is a small view of the crowd listening to Mrs. Sherlie tell the Resurrection story.

Cheri came to hunt eggs too, since I was a little busy with the rest of the party!
We had over 500 eggs!! Our egg hiders/daddys did an awesome job...they even left eggs in the trees!

Full Baskets!! and it was much cooler than expected that day(hence the fleece coat on Mahlon!)
I made a cute "photo opp" for the kids with a little help!
Fun craft table making fingerprint bunnies and chics!
And every party needs a cookie decorating station! YummY!

Sunset Fishin'

This post is long over due! Time to play catch-up on Spring and Summer!

Grant and Anna got a boat and one of the kids favorite thing to do is go on a boat ride! They love the water...swimming, fishing, boat riding...anything!

While the kids and daddies were on the water the mommies hid eggs! Oh they had a blast racing through the yard!

Kaden picked up each egg, shook it and decided if had something good in it before he picked them up!
And after all of that they still had energy for a little dressup!

I have not been the best blogger in 2012! I am hoping to get a little more organized and catch up on the past 2 months(lots of pics!) before summer really gets here!! Keep checking in, I'll have more pics and stories soon! Happy Summer!

Just had to post some of these pics...too cute not to share.
These were just in the backyard. I love what sweet friends Mahlon and Sara Beth are...they do fight and there are some rough times but they truly love each other and take such good care of each other! The JOYS of twins!

 Sweet Hugs!

Yeah...she'll be beating him up one day! Already has him in  a headlock!

Trip to Mobile

At the end of March we headed to Mobile for the weekend to see Lani, Brian and baby Braden! What a little cutie!!

Of course Mako and Mali had their playtime too...they aren't quite sure what to think about a new baby in "their" house!!
 Love this little smile!

A little cuddle time with aunt Rebecca, uncle Wesley and twin cousins!

And we did a "photo shoot" it took 4 adults and 2 cameras to get these shots but it was well worth it!

And the twins got spoiled with lots of Easter surprises!

And it was already so warm in Mobile we had some fun in the sun! Bubbles and water!

An Afternoon with the Coulsons

Sally, Maury, Carter and Caroline came in town to visit grandparents and spent the afternoon with us! We met for lunch at Pizza Inn which was surprisingly tame with 5 kids ages 10 months-5 years!
Then we headed to the playground in our neighborhood for a little outside time after yesterday's stormy weather.
Once it was time for Caroline's nap we came home for a little dress-up!
These sweet girls see each other one or 2 times a year and they had the most fun!

These two were hilarious!

Wedding Barbie, Princess, Prince and King

After ballroom dancing for a bit in the driveway it was time for motorized fun!
I love how they are looking at each other probably saying go faster! The girls had fun chasing these wild drivers!

Eventually all of that running landed them in the LARGE water puddle, so we gave in and put them in their swim suits! I tried a slip-n-slide, water sprinkler and every toy imaginable, but the puddle was the most fun!

Maybe if we play in it after every rain daddy will take a hint and take us to the beach!!! They were making "water angels."

After soaking the clothes and bathsuits and washing shoes and socks, I think we will avoid this puddle as much as possible...I can't believe I let them "swim" in it!! They may need to soak in BIZ over night!!

We had such a fun afternoon and hope to play with our sweet friends soon!

St. Patty's day parade

We had a fun time at the St. Patty's Day Children's parade! We saw Inky the Clown, lots of different animals from the zoo and the science museum, and tons of pets from the pet parade!

And of course we were all decked out in GREEN!!
Sara Beth tasted her first moon pie...not exactly what she thought it would be!

So we went for GREEN cotton candy! Sara Beth loved it...

Mahlon...not so much!

It was a fun outing for sure!! Maybe one day we'll be brave enough to take them to the "real" parade!

Photo Shoot!

This is all I have to show from my weekend in Mobile...pictures of this precious baby boy!! I spent most of my time trying to capture the perfect picture!

And I think I did!! Sweet baby boy one month old!

Little Chefs!

I went to spend a weekend with Lani and Braden while Brian worked nights and Aunt Maggie came to help Wesley with the twins. They had a big time especially in the kitchen! They made pizza for dinner and cookies for dessert, went hiking and played on the playground! Lots of fun in one weekend!
