Soak up the Sun

This morning Wesley and Brian did the mini-triathlon at Reunion...swim 250 meters, bike 8 miles, run 2 miles. They did awesome! They placed 3rd(Wesley 48min 12sec) and 4th (Brian 48 min 23sec) overall in the mountain bike division! And they had fun doing it! We had a great time watching and cheering them on!

Gran and Daddy dropped in for a quick visit on Thursday afternoon on their way to Mobile. I snapped a few quick pictures before bedtime! We had a "dance party", read lots of books, played ride "ride the horsey" with daddy Day, we even got Gran and Daddy Day to play "ring around the rosey!" (our new favorite game!)

These pics are from a few weekends ago...just forgot to post them! Doc and Cheri came for a visit and we played, and colored and read lots of books and then went out for Mexican...that is the reason we were stripped down to our diapers in these pics! But we sure did enjoy bathing in cheese dip and salsa!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kade!

Saturday we helped Kade celebrate his 2nd birthday in our swim suits! I got some cute pics, but not one with the busy birthday boy! We ate hot dogs, and an Elmo ice cream birthday cake and way to many m&m's and goldfish! And we all had a really long nap after!

Triathlon Training times 3!

Wesley has been training for a triathlon the past couple of weeks, so for a little extra workout (and the let mommy catch up on house work) he took the twins for a little bike ride! They had so much fun...he said Sara Beth just talked and sang and little man has been fighting a cold so this little ride/power nap was just what he needed to help him feel better! He fell asleep on Sara Beth's shoulder! Too sweet! Only 5 more training days for daddy...maybe a few more bike rides with an extra 60lbs is just what he needs!

First Trip to the Dentist!

I can't believe it...we loaded up on Thursday(just me and two kiddos) and headed to the dentist for the first time! They had no clue what we were doing, but I was a nervous wreck wondering how I was supposed to keep one child from running wild through the office (Mahlon) and keep the other child from biting off the hygienist fingers(like she tries to do every night to us!) The hygienist and dentist were great and Mahlon did such a good job! He just laid there and kept pointing to the big overhead light...he did clamp down on the toothbrush tool and we had to tickle him to get him to let go! Sara Beth on the other hand screamed and cried(no tears...just drama!) The hygienist(Lindsay) said it actually helped her out because her mouth was opened the whole time! HA! Good news is all of the kicking and screaming every night that goes on while we brush teeth was well worth it! Their little teeth looked great, no plaque and no cavities! Mommy survived...Mahlon only got away once and ended up in the "break room" he is soooo fast! Sara Beth batted those long eyelashes and both babies walked out of there with 2 coloring books, stickers, a couple of plastic frogs and their "healthy teeth bags"(toothbrush, floss, toothpaste...) It was like Christmas!

Art Project!

Mother's Day weekend we did a little art project! Finger painting!! The babies had the best time! Mahlon was VERY passionate about his art...he didn't take his eyes off of the canvases. I am not sure what was more precious...their little painted bellys or the completed art project!

They "signed" their precious art with thumb prints and handprints!

A new obsession...wearing daddy's shoes! And she can actually walk in these size 17's!! She knows she is too cute!

A few random pics from the month of May! We've had a busy month so far with birthday parties, weddings, crawfish parties, a visit from Gran and Daddy Day, a visit from Doc and Cheri and next week Aunt Lani and Uncle Brian are coming! Whew!! Time flys when you're this busy!!
